    I genuinely applaud your efforts to raise funds for a truly worthwhile cause. Water should be available for people and ‘Charity:Water’ does amazing and positive work.

    My issue is in calling your donation an offset when the capacity supplied and the work being done by the not-for-profit ‘Charity:Water’ is outside of the watershed where the withdrawals are taking place. You should more accurately identify your program as simply the support of something constructive and good, but it is not an actual water offset.

    You are correct. We just co-oped this neat play on words to increase donations for our charity event. It is not an actual water offset but is a nice gesture for those looking for a way to justify drinking bottled water.
